Adopt a resident
For many, a life without family and friends would be unbearable especially if dogged with poor health and no financial means of supporting oneself.

One of our programmes "B" my family which enables donors to adopt a resident of their choice from among our “zero paying” residents and pay towards their stay, befriend and visit them like a family member – thereby enhancing their “quality of life”!

It costs an average of $1500/- per month to care for a resident who needs basic medical, nursing, rehab care. This can go up to $1800 or more per month for those who need more intensive medical / nursing care, special feeds, tube feeding, diapers, non-standard medications etc. These costs are met with government subsidy, families’ payments and funds raised by the MFTNH.

We currently have 61 residents of whom 39 are destitute (with no families) and 22 whose families are unable to pay anything towards their care. These 61 residents receive a government subsidy of between $618/- to $895/- per month, depending on the intensity of their health care needs. The Home has to raise the balance of funds to meet the monthly expenditure incurred per resident. This ranges between $7,260/- to $10,584/- or more per year, for each of the 61 “zero paying“ residents.

Please “Help us help more people” through the "B" my family!
