Remembering Venerable Ho…..
We paid homage to our Founder, the late Venerable Ho Yuen
Hoe at a major charity lunch held at the Meritus Mandarin.
Our
Guest of Honour President S R Nathan unveiled Ven Ho’s
sculpture by Mr Chern Lian Shan and portrait by Mr Marcus
Lim and launched a specially commissioned book on Venerable
Ho – “A Life for Others” written by our Executive Director
Dr Uma Rajan, as part of an ongoing fundraising drive for
MFTNH. A new hybrid of the orchids Dendrobium Ekapol and
Dendrobium Lim Hepa was also named “Venerable Ho Yuen Hoe”
and presented to Mrs. Nathan.
The
event ended with a heartwarming MFTNH song written by a very
dedicated and passionate volunteer Tan Soon Lee, with music
score by an inspired volunteer Michael Koh and sung by Dr
Rekha Rajan with back up choir by the Greenridge Secondary
School |
